Keiton is starting to talk. He trys to say Dog, Hi, and ball. He plays peekaboo and sadly is being weened. He is starting to get an appetite which is good because he continues to follow is own growth curve below the chart. He is getting very independent and will take of and go down stairs all by himself and play and then come back up.  Keiton has become a drinker. He went from NEVER wanting to drink anything out of a cup to really glupping it down. He loves all things with wheels and can be found much of the day crawling around with his wheeled friend out in front of him.

Brielle is becoming mommy's helper and likes to sweep and help put away things in the dishwasher. She can put anything away correctly in the bottom three drawers of our kitchen. She continues to love giving things to Keiton and sharing as long as she feels there is enough for her. She however doesn't like sharing books, and their arm chair, with him. She seems to be working through some of her anxiety and has overcome a lot of her fear of loud sounds and the objects that make them. She still has times where heights are terrifying but not as often and 3/4 of the time can do the starts without a break down. She still hates doors to be closed without her. So its difficult to use the bathroom behind closed doors without causing a melt down.

Home update

Our garden is growing well things are small but they are starting to produce. We have several tomatoes, zucchini peppers and cucumbers starting to grow there fruit yeah.

My front flower bed is coming slowly adding more soil and removing sod. Dave decided he wanted to transplant the sod to the back yard so that has slowed me down some. I bought a few new trees to put in and have been trying to figure out what else would look really nice in there. I really need to build my retaining wall and then pull everything out all the existing plants and build up the soil and then figure out the best landscaping.

We have one bathroom counter top pretty much done. I think I will do one more layer of epoxy to fill in a few dimples before I install it. I learned alot and hope the next one is even better.

the Kitchen is slowly coming. We are waiting on my cook top to arrive and then we can start the switch a ru. New sink, faucet, cook top, switch dishwashers and location. Then we need to build the new counter top wood base and I will be ready to do the concrete. I also have all the wood boards to finish building kitchen cabinets and doors. So much work left. I just have to try to make one little bit of progress each day.

Dave's big news is he purchased two used four wheelers and a trailer and is hoping to spend more time in the mountains this summer and fall as a stress re leaver.

zoo

Brielle was a little nervous about the carousel, especially when the ostrich went up high.

 ridding the train. So exciting!

The kids seemed to really enjoy their first experience at the zoo. Both of them LOVED the bird show and kept squealing and pointing as the birds swooped over our heads. They also really liked the giraffes who came right up and ate next to them. Thank you Grandma Karlsven for treating us to the zoo. It was fun to be there as a whole family.

house progress

This is are almost finished retaining wall. I eventually will do a faux rock finish on it so its not so ugly. But is very functional right now. The garden is planted, and I'm excited to have a small veggie garden this year. Thanks to Dave for some much needed help and support.

I'm hoping to get the wood this week to do a bathroom counter top start to finish to practice the whole processes before the kitchen, this weekend.
