One of my craziest days so far!

So Keiton fell of the front porch into my flower bed and landed on a mysterious metal post sticking out of the ground. The cut was between his nose and upper lip.down through is upper lip. It bleed a ton and I wasn't sure if it when all the way through the skin into his mouth or how bad it really was. With screaming baby in tow I call sabina to get advice and she tells me to call her back when Keiton has calmed down because she can't hear anything. After I get him calm and the bleeding stops I call her back and talk through wither I should take him in to see if he needs stitches. I decide I think hes ok but go over to ask my neighbor for a second opinion. She thinks he's fine but give me some vitamin E oil gel pills to help with the healing. I bring them home and through them on the kitchen counter and go to change Keitons diaper when I come out Brielle has several of these gel caps in her mouth and half of them are gone. I pull out what she has and try to wash her mouth out and call poison control to make sure shes going to be ok. Luckily there are no bad side effects of over dosing on vitamin E other then they said maybe diarrhea.

Why?

  Brielle,

I can't believe I am at the Why stage of life. It's not full fledge but it's coming and I here this question from Brielle when I've told her she can't do something several times a day. I'm not sure she understands what she is asking but somewhere she learned that this is a way to responds when mommy says no.

Brielle is literally OCD about opening and closing doors. I think if we had not decided it was best to lock Sabina's back door during parts of the day she would have opened and closed it at least a 100 times.  She can open about any knob or pull down door. Luckily our front door she has not figured out how to open and our back doors are sliding glass doors that she can't open. She will open and close the door and Keiton and he is left behind crying.

Brielle has mastered the recognition of B and r and we are working on i. We did however teach her the wrong sound for r and are trying to re-teach that one. I have really struggled to know how to approach the teaching of letters and have changed tactics a couple of times. I love the fact that she can excitedly exclaim Ba as we drive by some sign that has a B in it or she will look at books and point out all the B's and r's. She has become vary aware of letters.

Brielle often puts her own shoes on an takes them off. She is very interested in zippers and other fasteners, buttons, snaps, safety buckles and clips.

Brielle is liking the idea of bed and nap time and will at times go in and start to put herself to bed. climb up on here bed lay down on her pillow and suck on her blanket and wait for me to put her other blanket on on point to her music.

Ketion,

He is starting to point at body parts but he only knows eye, nose, and ears and never seems to remember which one is which.

He has picked up a few more sign language words (eat, drink) and often will go through all the ones he knows trying to communicate and get what he wants.  He is constantly signing please enthusiastically with both hands and pointing (usually to the kitchen).

He has finally decided he has an appetite and can be a bottomless pit. He will sit and eat 4 pancakes + milk, banana, and eggs.

He loves to go outside and still is constantly asking me to put his shoes on.

Life

Brielle says new words everyday and is starting to put them together. She has said more please and today while we were coming out of church I got stuck behind someone talking and blocking the hall way. She used here little hands to gesture me to come and said "come on momma" so sweet:)

Brielle is becoming my little dancer and loves to get wiggling and moving whenever there is music. I love that Keiton is catching on and really trying to boggie as well.

We have started some casual potty training and Brielle has successfully gone poo in her new little toilet. We will start a little more serious when we head to Sabina's for a few days so Keiton has a distraction and isn't cramed in the bathroom with brielle and I trying to sandwich Brielle by closing the lid ontop of her.

We are also doing some learning and Brielle is starting to recognize the letter b and the sound it makes and like me to help her write it.

She also loves to point to her body parts and knows a ton of them from eye brows to belly button and elbows.

Keiton has a little bit or maybe a LOT a bit of a fetish for shoes right now and is constantly bringing me shoes to put on him even if he already as two shoes on, he can often be found with just one shoe or two miss matching shoes. Often I will go to get him out of his crib and he is screaming and pointing at his shoes. He is taking after my dad how always wants shoes on his feet.

Keiton is starting to eat better and only wants to feed himself. But is still very picky

Keiton is my tantrum man, throwing himself on the floor and flinging on to his back while screaming. It is quite funny! Luckily they are short lived.

Keiton can say a few words momma dadd, bottle, his favorite hi, and points to a lot of things that sound like dog or duck.

He can point to his nose:)

He loves to be involved in everything Brielle is doing and often pushes her out of the way to get what she had. He is a big tease and does things he knows will get you upset. He loves to copy Brielle and has been spending a decent amount of time trying to figure out how to jump.

End of summer

Dave built us stairs off the deck that has been really nice to have. We just need to add a railing, make a path to the other set of steps and fix the other set of steps.

Keiton has become quite the climber and loves to be up on top of something.

Keiton and his boots. He is way into shoes and is constantly bringing me shoes he finds for me to put on his feet even when he already has shoes on.

I didn't save the curls but I wanted a picture of his little blond locks!

walker

It has been way to long sense I have last posted and my little man is now a walker.

He started walking on July 29th and is cruising everywhere.

He is also talking a little more and says mom dog and ball.

He is a very good thrower and loves to destroy and throw everything is sight.

He continues to be a picky eater which has caused him to drop off his own growth curve that was already below 0 percent. Scrambled eggs, rice, and yogurt and of course his milk are his stables.

He is much more exasperating then Brielle and at time I'm not sure I'll ever be ready to have more kids. He is however a sweet boy who loves to shows loves by head butting you and rolling around on the floor with you, usually over your head. But he has the most pitiful cry and still melts my heart with those dark brown eyes looking up at me through those long thick lashes.

He has quite the little locks right now that curl and flip out everywhere. Dave is ready for me to cut it but I don't know if those baby curls will ever come back :(
Brielle loves to wear everyone's shoes.

She attended Nursery today for the whole two hours and did great. It will be so nice not to have to wrestle both of them all three hours. She loves to be big and interacted with bigger kids. She doesn't seem to notice she is the youngest and smallest.

Brielle is my little talker and says more and more all the time and putting things together. My favorite is still probably "here you go". She constantly points to think telling me their name or asking for their name. She amazes me with how many words she can remember and not just regurgitate. One a good day she can tell me the name of several body parts by herself and if I ask where is you ? she gets them right most of the time. we are currently working on knees, shoulders, neck, and chin, she is hit or miss with this but really like the neck and to squeeze hers and mommy and daddy's.

She loves to be mommy's helper and is especially good at watering my pots.

This is a regular accurance and we have started time out for hitting and shoving each other.

words and diapers

So for the first time I heard Brielle call me mommy. I happened to ask Brielle what my name was and she said mommy. I love being a mom :)
I told the doctor today that Brielle could spontaneously say 10 words and then I got home and started counting and its more.
I wanted to list all the words I can think off she has said
thank you, here you go, night night, bye bye, eye, mommy, milk, please, Elmo, drink, hi, book, moo, owl, ou, ha oh, no, bird, car, pick up, wow, boot, dad,

On Our trip back from Yellow Stone we all of the sudden had a diaper fly at us from the back seat. We looked back and the kids were having a diaper through party.

On that vein I think I changed 6 diapers before noon the other day! crazy I know.
